So I went out clubbin the night before. Sadly, nothin' much goin' on pre-Independence Day. Lack of events downtown led to lack of people showing up on 4th of july weekend. Fortunately i heard these guys perform on stage where house/techno djs usually spin. It's rare to see a drummer play lead vocal in a band. I figured drummers have a hard enough job as it is [peep the youtube clip below]. Tortured Soul is the name of the band. The live drumbeats were contagious, the man behind the keys supplying the funk, and you've got the jazzy basslines to top it off. Good look, TS. Good times.
